Past Reunions
Over the years SMCANA has actively participated in the Biennial meetings of GMCANA. Our reunions have been platforms for philanthropy and support. SMCANA’s roots were inspired by the camaraderie and spirit of service witnessed at GMCANA reunions. This inspiration culminated in our first landmark Reunion in 2003, during TANA in Detroit, Michigan.
Following the success of our inaugural event, our next reunion in Chicago in 2005, marked another significant step in our journey. Subsequent biennial meetings at New Orleans, San Antonio, Atlanta have seen increasingly unprecedented attendance, participation of SMC graduates from India, exemplifying our alum network’s global reach and impact. We also proudly reflect on the resounding success of our 2022 Reunion in Dallas. Among the highlights were attendance by SMC Alumni, our focus on charitable endeavors, release of the first souvenir magazine, participation of our valuable partner SMCA and faculty, and expression of views by alumni, echoing our mission. As we look back on our past reunions and accomplishments, we are filled with pride and gratitude for our journey. Each reunion and each act of service has strengthened our bond and commitment to our SMC family and the community at large. We eagerly anticipate the continued growth and success of SMCANA as we uphold our mission of education, health care, fellowship and research, both in the USA and India.
